Cornerfetch

It all began when I grew tired of the same old-fashioned, often overdone door handle hardware available in the Indian market. End users were left with very few options. Determined to create something different, I decided to start from scratch and revisit the basics of geometry.

The first shapes that came to mind were a circle, a square, and a triangle. These simple forms became my foundation, and they were more than enough to create something magical. A part of each geometric shape formed the handle, while a complete shape served as the rosette.

Why Cornerfetch?

Most door handles are typically installed either vertically or horizontally, leading to a uniform grip. These new designs stand out both visually and ergonomically by incorporating a corner grip, offering a fresh approach to how the handle is grasped.

A dash of finer design elements

Circle with a Radius / Square with a Chamfer / Triangle with a Crease. Each model’s name was thoughtfully created to highlight the defining characteristics of its design, integrating aspects of the shapes themselves. This strategy aids in easy recognition both in the market and among sales teams.

These handles are specifically designed for use with Godrej’s premium Rimlocks, requiring only a door handle and an external keyhole rosette. The concept garnered positive feedback shortly after its market debut.

About this website

My web curiosity journey began back in school days (2002) after stumbling upon a small cute book on HTML named “The Rough Guide to The Internet by Angus J Kenny”. Over time I explored MS Frontpage, Dreamweaver, modifying ready template codes and now on a WYSIWYG editor.

With a keen interest in visuals, technicalities of hosting, trying new developments in this industry remained a fun project.
